Spiders (Arachnids)
(Gasteracantha arcuata) An amazing spider I have seen only a few times. This specimen would not turn around ... this is from the back. The spines are supposed to put off predators. Photo taken at Phu Ruea NP, Loei, October, 2011.
(Nephila maculata) A massive spider I see fairly often at the edge of forests around the country. The female is enormous, but the male is tiny (the male is the tiny red one). Photo taken at Phu Wiang NP, Khon Kaen, July, 2011.
